Description
Smooth black industrial rubber sheet, cut to the length you need and sold by the linear metre. Choose 2.5mm, 3mm, 7mm or 8mm thick and widths from 1000mm to 2000mm, then enter the number of metres as the quantity. Your order is supplied as one continuous length unless you ask us to cut it into pieces.
This is a medium to heavy duty solid rubber sheet for commercial and industrial use, with a smooth finish on both faces. Engineers, maintenance teams and fabricators use it as stock for cutting gaskets, seals, washers and strips, for anti-vibration and machine mounting pads, for lining chutes, hoppers, trays and vehicle beds, and for protecting bench tops and surfaces. Rated for use from -10°C to +60°C.

Which rubber sheet do I need?
- Oil, fuel or grease: nitrile rubber sheet
- Outdoors or sunlight: EPDM rubber sheet
- 1.5mm or 2mm sheet: premium grade natural rubber sheet
- Floor matting with grip: plain rubber matting
Working with the sheet
- Unroll and let the sheet relax flat at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours before marking out.
- Mark with chalk or a silver pen, then cut with a sharp utility knife against a steel rule, scoring thicker sheet in several passes. Use a hole punch or wad punch for bolt holes.
- For gaskets, cut slightly oversize on the outside and trim to the flange after fitting if needed.
- Bond with a rubber-compatible contact adhesive where the sheet must stay in place, for example linings and bench tops.
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid solvents and strong acids.
FAQs
If I order 3 metres, will it be one piece?
Yes. A quantity of 3 gives one continuous 3m length. Contact us before ordering if you need it cut into separate pieces.
Which thickness do I need?
2.5mm and 3mm suit gaskets, seals, liners and surface protection. 7mm and 8mm suit anti-vibration pads, buffers and heavy impact protection.
Can I make gaskets from it?
Yes, for low-pressure water, air and dust seals. It is not suitable for oil, fuel, steam or high-pressure applications. For oil contact use our nitrile sheet.
Is this sheet oil resistant?
It tolerates occasional splashes but is not an oil-resistant grade. For regular oil or fuel contact choose our nitrile rubber sheet.
Can I use it outdoors?
It is intended for indoor use. For outdoor or UV exposure choose our EPDM rubber sheet.
How accurate is the thickness?
Sheet is supplied to standard commercial (BMRA) tolerance of ±10%. Slight shade variation between batches is normal.
Is it anti-static or electrically rated?
