- Ensure the subfloor surface is clean, dry, level, and free from grease, dust, or loose debris before laying
- Unroll the matting and allow it to relax flat — in cold conditions, allow 24–48 hours for the rubber to acclimatise to ambient temperature before fitting
- For loose-lay or temporary applications, trim to the required length and position in place — the weight and rubber grip will hold it under normal use
- For permanent or outdoor installations, apply a compatible outdoor contact adhesive evenly to both the subfloor and the underside of the matting, allow to become tacky, then press firmly and evenly into position
- Trim to your exact required length or shape using a sharp utility knife guided along a firm straight edge
