Restaurant, café and pub logo mat FAQs

Will food, grease and spilt drinks wash out?

Yes. Vacuum daily, then machine wash at 30°C with no detergent when it needs it and dry flat. Red wine, coffee and sauce come out of the polyamide pile; most venues keep two mats per door and rotate them on laundry day.

Does it help with slips at the door?

The mat traps water and grit before they reach the dining-room floor, which is where most entrance slips happen. The non-slip vinyl backing keeps it in place and the 8 mm profile with a flat 15 mm border lies flush on tiles, timber and concrete. Keep a second mat ready so a soaked one can be swapped mid-service.

Can we print a message rather than a logo?

Yes. "Please wait to be seated", "Collection point", "Mind the step" or "Thanks for visiting" in your own typeface, with or without the emblem. Upload the wording as artwork or type it into the notes and we will set it on the proof.

What goes on the step or the terrace?

The outdoor logo mat. Its 3 mm nitrile rubber backing has moulded drainage channels so rain runs through, a 2 cm rubber border and a UV-stable pile that will not fade. It hoses or pressure-washes clean.

Our doorway is narrow and not square. Can you make it fit?

Yes. Type the exact width and length into the designer, up to 200 × 650 cm, and the price shows instantly. For a recessed matwell, choose the matwell fit and the mat is made without a border to sit flush. Finished size can vary by up to 2.5 cm per side.

Can we match the exact colour from our menus and signage?

Yes. Enter the Pantone or HEX reference from your brand guidelines and the mat and print are matched to it at no extra cost. If you only have a printed menu, post it or send a photo and we will match it on the proof.

Is it fire rated for licensed premises?

Indoor logo mats are classified Cfl-s1 and outdoor logo mats Dfl-s1 to EN 13501-1. The classification is shown on the specification sheet you can download from each product page for your fire risk assessment.

We have several branches. Can we order them together?

Yes. Every mat is printed individually, so ten branches with ten town names cost the same as ten identical mats. Design each one and add them to one basket, or email the list and we will proof them together with trade pricing.

Can we swap designs for Christmas or a seasonal menu?

Yes. Order a second mat with the seasonal artwork and keep the everyday one for the rest of the year. The same size costs the same whatever is printed on it.

How quickly can we have it for opening night?

Approve the proof and an indoor mat is made and delivered within 5–7 working days, an outdoor mat within 7–10. Order a fortnight before opening and it will be at the door for the first covers.

Can we pay on invoice?

Order online with a card for the fastest turnaround, or email the purchase order to sales@rubbermattingco.co.uk and we will send a pro-forma invoice with the proof. A VAT invoice is issued with every order.
