Hotel logo mat FAQs

Can you match our gold or metallic brand colour?

Yes, as a solid colour. Metallic foil cannot be printed into carpet pile, so a gold such as Pantone 871 is matched to its closest solid gold tone, which reads as gold against navy, burgundy or black. The proof shows exactly how it will look.

What size do we need for a revolving door?

Allow for three strides inside the door: 150 × 250 cm suits most hotel revolving doors, 200 × 200 cm for a wide one. Rectangular mats are the standard; for a shaped or circular apron, contact us with the door dimensions.

Will it sit flat on marble or polished stone?

Yes. The vinyl backing is non-slip and the mat is 8 mm thick with a flat 15 mm border, so it lies flat on marble, tile, stone and timber. For an existing recess choose the matwell option and the mat is made without a border to sit flush.

Is it fire rated for a hotel?

Indoor logo mats are classified Cfl-s1 and outdoor logo mats Dfl-s1 to EN 13501-1. The classification is on the specification sheet you can download from each product page for your fire risk assessment.

How does housekeeping clean it?

Vacuum daily. When it looks tired, machine wash at 30°C with no detergent and dry flat. Most hotels order two mats per door and rotate them so one is always down while the other dries.

What goes under the canopy or on the step?

The outdoor logo mat. It has a 3 mm nitrile rubber backing with moulded drainage channels, a 2 cm rubber border and a UV-stable pile, so it will not curl, crack or fade and it hoses clean.

Can each hotel in our group have its own name?

Yes. Every mat is printed individually, so ten hotels with ten names cost the same as ten identical mats. Design each one in the designer and add them to one basket, or email the list and we will proof them together.

Can we order on a purchase order?

Order online with a card for the fastest turnaround, or email the purchase order to sales@rubbermattingco.co.uk and we will send a pro-forma invoice with the proof. A VAT invoice is issued with every order.

How long will it take?

Approve the proof and an indoor mat is made and delivered within 5–7 working days, an outdoor mat within 7–10. Order a fortnight before a refurbishment opening and it will be down for the first guests.

What file do you need for the crest?

Any clear logo file: PNG, JPG, PDF or SVG. A vector file from the brand agency gives the sharpest result, but a good-quality PNG from the website is fine for most logos. The designer warns you if the file is too small to print well.
