Our Heavy Duty Vinyl-Top Anti-Fatigue Mat is the mat to choose when a plain foam mat will not survive. A tough, diamond-plate vinyl surface is bonded to a 14.3 mm closed-cell vinyl sponge, so you get the deep cushioning that keeps people comfortable through a full shift, with a wear layer that shrugs off boots, dropped tools, trolley wheels and dragged crates. It is the mat specified for warehouse packing stations, assembly lines, CNC bays and checkout tills where cheaper mats tear, dent or go flat within months.
The embossed checker-plate top gives non-directional grip underfoot, a non-slip backing stops the mat creeping on smooth floors, and the bevelled edges let trolleys and wheelchairs roll on and off without catching. Choose plain black, or black with a high-visibility yellow border along both long edges to mark walkways and workstations. The surface resists common fluids and most workshop chemicals and is classed as non-flammable by the manufacturer.

How to order the right size
Three ways to buy
- Ready-cut mats for single workstations. 60 x 90 cm suits one person at a till, bench or machine. 90 x 150 cm gives room to move side to side. 90 x 300 cm and 90 x 600 cm cover short lines and counters without any cutting.
- Cut to length for benches, lines and walkways. Pick the width (60, 90 or 120 cm) and set the quantity to the number of metres you need. We cut it as one continuous piece, so a quantity of 7 on the 90 cm option gives you a single 90 cm x 7 m runner.
- Full 23 m rolls for fitting out a whole area. The best price per metre, and you cut it on site with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge.
- Choosing a width: 60 cm is enough for a standing position directly at a bench. 90 cm is the usual choice for lines where people step back and turn. 120 cm covers two-person stations or allows a trolley to pass behind the operator.
- Black or yellow border? Yellow is the convention in warehouses and factories where the mat marks a walkway or hazard zone. Black suits retail counters, showrooms and anywhere you want the mat to disappear.

Care and cleaning
Keep it looking new
- Sweep or vacuum daily in swarf and dust areas so grit is not ground into the diamond pattern.
- Mop or wipe with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse and let it dry before use.
- Wipe oil and coolant splashes off promptly. The surface resists them, but a clean mat grips better.
- Avoid solvents, strong acids and abrasive pads, which can dull the vinyl top.
- Keep it for dry indoor areas. For wet or greasy floors choose a drainage or nitrile rubber mat from our range.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose a vinyl-topped mat over a plain foam one?
Foam on its own wears quickly under boots and trolley wheels and is easily punctured by dropped tools. The bonded vinyl top protects the sponge core, so the mat keeps its cushioning and its looks for years instead of months.
How thick is it and does the comfort last?
14.3 mm overall. The closed-cell vinyl sponge recovers after each step rather than compressing permanently, which is why it is rated 3 out of 3 for anti-fatigue performance.
Can trolleys, pallet trucks and wheelchairs go over it?
Yes. It is rated for wheeled traffic and the bevelled edges give a smooth ramp on and off. It is not designed for forklifts or other powered vehicles.
How do I order a cut length?
Choose the width you want under Size, then enter the number of metres as the quantity. The price shown is per metre and we supply it as one continuous piece. Cut lengths are made to order and dispatched in 1 to 2 working days.
Can I cut it myself?
Yes. A sharp utility knife and a straight edge will cut it cleanly, so a full roll can be trimmed around machine bases and bench legs on site.
Is it suitable for wet areas or kitchens?
No. It is a dry-area mat. For wet, greasy or food-preparation floors choose one of our nitrile rubber or drainage anti-fatigue mats.
Will oil or coolant damage it?
The vinyl surface resists common fluids and most workshop chemicals and oils. Wipe splashes off when you see them and avoid solvents.
Is the yellow border on all four sides?
The yellow safety border runs along both long edges of the mat or roll. The short ends are plain black.
Is it fire rated?
The manufacturer classes the vinyl surface as non-flammable. If your site needs a specific classification certificate for floor coverings, contact us before ordering and we will advise.
Will it slide on a smooth epoxy floor?
No. The non-slip backing is designed to hold on painted concrete, epoxy and vinyl floors without tape. Keep the floor beneath clean and dry for best grip.
Does it come with any sizing tolerance?
Width and length can vary by up to 2%, which is normal for sponge-backed matting. Allow for this if you are fitting into a tight recess.
