Description
Trailing leads are one of the easiest trip hazards to miss in a risk assessment. This cable cover mat hides them in an integrated cable channel underneath, gives people a secure, slip-resistant step over the top, and frames the spot with a hi-vis yellow and black hazard border so nobody walks into it unawares.
Built for temporary cable runs indoors: power to a desk in the middle of an open-plan office, AV leads across a conference aisle, a feed to an exhibition stand, or an extension lead across a workshop walkway. Lay it down, run the cable underneath, and it is ready in seconds with no tape or fixings.

Rule of thumb: lay the mat with its 120 cm length following the cable, so the whole walking line is covered. For a wider walkway, lay two mats end to end along the cable.

Laying and care
- Sweep the floor where the cable crosses the walkway.
- Lay the cable in a straight line along the route it needs to take.
- Place the mat over the cable with the 120 cm length running along it, so the cable sits in the channel underneath.
- Check the cable leaves both ends flat to the floor with no loops.
- Vacuum regularly. For a deeper clean, use a carpet cleaner or steam clean.
- Lay flat to dry and do not tumble dry.
