Which size do I need?

• 60 × 85 cm: toilets, staff doors and the cellar door.
• 85 × 115 cm: bar entrance, takeaway counter and café doors.
• 85 × 150 cm: a single front door. Our most popular restaurant size.
• 115 × 180 cm: double doors and bifolds.
• 115 × 240 cm or 115 × 300 cm: a runner past the host stand or along a corridor.
• 150 × 250 cm or 200 × 200 cm: hotel-restaurant and food-hall entrances.
• Custom size: enter your own measurements above for an awkward doorway or a runner. Measure the clear floor space and leave 5–10 cm on each side. Mats are cut to order, so the finished size can vary by up to 2.5 cm per side.
• Matwell: measure the recess itself, not the doorway, and choose "In a matwell" so we make it without the border.

Figures are supplied by the manufacturer and are typical values; weights carry a ±10% tolerance.

Washing and care

• After service: vacuum. A clean mat traps more dirt and keeps its colour longer.
• Spills: blot red wine, coffee and sauces with clean lukewarm water as soon as you can. No detergent, bleach or degreaser: they strip the colour from the print.
• Machine washing: delicate cycle, low spin, never above 30°C. Wash the mat on its own with no detergent or fabric softener, unfolded, in a machine large enough for the mat. A busy front door usually wants a wash every four to eight weeks, more often in winter.
• Drying: dry flat, out of direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry.

Artwork tips

A vector file (SVG, PDF, AI or EPS) from whoever designed your menus or signage gives the sharpest print. If you only have a PNG or JPG, send the largest version you have, ideally 1,000 pixels wide or more. Our designers tidy edges, remove backgrounds and match colours as part of the free proof.
