Description
Checker plate rubber matting with a raised diamond bar pattern that grips boots, tyres and loads, and protects the floor underneath from oil, scuffs and dropped tools. It is a premium low-odour grade, REACH, RoHS and PAH compliant, so it does not fill a van or garage with the strong smell of cheaper recycled matting. Choose 3mm for vans, trailers and benches, or 4.5mm for a tougher, more cushioned garage or workshop floor.

Made from a premium rubber compound that is PAH compliant, so it is low odour indoors and in enclosed vans.
Grip and protection
The raised diamond pattern gives grip underfoot and stops loads sliding, while the rubber shields the floor from oil, scratches and knocks.

Fitting & care
- Unroll the matting and leave it flat at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours so it relaxes before fitting.
- Sweep the floor clean and dry. For a van, make a paper template of the load floor first.
- Mark out with chalk and cut along a straight edge with a sharp utility knife, taking several light passes.
- Clean with warm soapy water; avoid solvents and petrol on the standard grade.
FAQs
Does it smell?
It is a premium low-odour grade, PAH compliant, so it is much less smelly than cheap recycled matting. A light rubber smell when new fades quickly with ventilation.
3mm or 4.5mm?
3mm is light and flexible, ideal for vans, trailers and benches. 4.5mm is heavier and more cushioned, better for garage and workshop floors that take more wear.
Is it oil resistant?
The standard grade protects the floor from drips and spills but is not made for constant oil contact. An oil-resistant nitrile version is available to order; call us for details.
How is the price worked out?
The price is per linear metre. Choose your thickness and width, then set the quantity to the number of metres you need, up to a full 10m roll.
Can I get other colours?
Yes. Red, blue, green and grey can be made to order. Call us for pricing and lead time.
